Ufficio is definitely not your typical Italian restaurant, it’s a pescatarian restaurant. Pescetarianism, or pesco-vegetarianism – a vegetarian that includes seafood in their diet. They just cut out out all meat but not fish and other seafood.  I wasn’t aware of this until we spoke to Jenny Coburn, the owner who said she wanted to open an Italian restaurant that does not have charcuterie in their menu. She also said that there are so many more to Italian cooking than just meat and pasta, that’s why they decided to exclude meat in their menu.

For sure, Ufficio has opened up our eyes and palette on Italian cooking.  The dishes are all stunning to look at and the flavour is equally impressive.
