Brunch is very popular in Toronto. In fact, there are more restaurants that open just for brunch where they close in the late afternoon. Frankly Eatery is one of those restaurants located on Queen East.
Unlike typical brunch menu, their menu is spiced with Indian flavors. Joe’s “Wake Me Up!” is a toasted sourdough stacked with peameal bacon, eggs, arugula, onions, roasted jalapeno’s and a spicy aioli served with a side salad. Definitely spiced up the bacon and eggs, it was delicious.
I had the “Stack It!” assembled with two bread pakoras stacked with portabella mushrooms, tomato and bacon topped with a fried egg and roasted jalapeno cream, also served with a side salad. Something different than your typical eggs benedict with poach eggs, quite refreshing.
We were quite lucky that we only waited 15 minutes. You can tell from the small eatery, it’s a busy place and most likely there’re regular patrons.
Brunch for 2 was around $30
